The film features around 2,500 visual effects, overseen by production visual effects supervisor Ryan Tudhope and led by Framestore (visual effects supervisors Rob Harrington and Nicolas Chevallier), with Industrial Light & Magic (visual effects supervisor Eric Leven) contributing to key Daytona and flashback sequences, and Red Visual Effects acting as the department’s in-house visual effects team.

The visual effects efforts, which further included significant visualization and some incredibly challenging tracking and matchmoving work, are detailed in this special issue of befores & afters magazine, via detailed interviews with Tudhope, Harrington, Chevallier and Leven.

You can also grab the issue in PRINT from Amazon (that’s the US store, make sure you try your local Amazon store, too).
