June 10, 2024

The making of ‘MAX BEYOND’ using Unreal Engine, Reallusion tools, Xsens motion capture and a suite of other tools.

Today on the befores & afters podcast, we’re chatting to HaZ Dulull, co-founder of HaZimation and the director of the indie CG animated feature MAX BEYOND. This is a feature made with an array of real-time and virtual production tools, including Unreal Engine, Reallusion’s suite of animation tools, Xsens motion capture suits and several other tools. In the podcast, we go through the whole production of MAX BEYOND, from the original idea, to getting funding, hiring a crew, to making an interactive side of the film—all while so many developments in game engines and its cross over with VFX and animation were and are still taking place.
