Thanks to everyone out there for your continued support of befores & afters. As you might know I started the befores & afters Patreon site a few years ago to help launch the print VFX magazine. Would you believe, it’s now up to issue #16, and beforesandafters.com has also expanded to VFX audio podcasts and other content. The Patreon has been humming away with tons of bonus VFX content, as well.
One of the things that’s happened with the Patreon is that it hasn’t remained so clear what each tier gives supporters in terms of bonus content and early access. So, I’m simplifying all that, without changing any pricing at all. New tier names will better reflect the kinds of bonuses and rewards Patreons will receive.
If you’re already a Patreon member you don’t need to do anything at all. But if you’d like to upgrade your tier, here’s some info on the changes.
If you join up to the newly named VFX EARLY ACCESS tier ($USD 5/month), which was previously called the PLUS tier, you’ll get early access to audio podcasts and SOON, you’ll get early access to befores & afters VIDEOS, before they’re released publicly.
Or, don’t miss the VFX RETRO EXCLUSIVES tier ($USD 7/month) for Patreon-only (exclusive to you) stories, audio and videos covering the retro side of visual effects, from old-school techniques to practical effects, miniatures and optical, and the early days of digital.
Join a higher tier and get all the bonus content and early access that comes with the lower tiers, too. Also, if you’re already receiving the print magazine via Patreon, don’t worry, this will of course continue.
