Today on the befores & afters podcast, we’re chatting about the visual effects of season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again. On the podcast I’m here with visual effects supervisor Gong Myung Lee and visual effects producer Fahed “Freddy” Alhabib. We go into the various VFX challenges from this season, the first of which is the Northern Star container ship, which needed to sail around New York and also explode.
Then we dive into the big prison break oner in episode 3 and talk about the many stitches involved and extra weapon and other effects involved there. There’s also a fun discussion about the invisible effects side to the show, include the removal and replacement of graffiti.
