Behind the scenes of the HBO series.

Today on the befores & afters podcast we’re chatting to Chad Wanstreet, the visual effects supervisor on HBO’s The Sympathizer. You’ll hear all about the very diverse amount of work on the show, which include moments like the Vietnam plane tarmac scene, how the crocodile in the show was filmed, ghosts on the shore in the finale…and the crazy private lounge scene that features multiple characters played by Robert Downey Jr., with impressive face replacement work. Some of the work we talk about was done by Zoic, Ingenuity Studios and Barnstorm, and there’s a host of other vendors on the series, too.
