You might not even notice any VFX in ‘We Were the Lucky Ones’

Go behind the scenes of the WWII drama.

Today on the befores & afters podcast, we’re chatting to visual effects supervisor Oliver Cubbage about the Hulu series, We Were the Lucky Ones. The series certainly has that invisible effects vibe to it. It’s set in World War II and follows very closely a subjective view from the characters, so you often only see war-related things in the backgrounds. That seamless and story-driven nature of the VFX is something Oliver and I talk about in detail, alongside work done for a number of establishers in the series.
